Long Time Companion is a sweeping saga starting from the end of World War II to beyond the present day. It is a tale of the lives and loves of two men over the course of eight decades. The story is told in a series of flashbacks. An event in the present triggers the memory of something in the past. Along the way, we meet many colorful characters, who impact the lives of Adam and Evan. Most of them are loving friends, and some not so much. The reader will find that keeping up with their lives is a real page turner.

These two novellas are written as separate tales strung together by a common theme. Tales of Rick and Alec concerns two homeless youths as they struggle to make their way in the world. They find themselves going from rags to riches. Each tale progresses their story, describes their adventures along the way, and introduces the colorful characters that flit in and out of their lives, and the ones who remain with them forever. Tales of the Country Club has as a common theme the fictional West Lost Angeles Country Club. There are overlapping characters in each story, but each tale stands on its own. They are tales of gay love, overt and latent, but in the end fate brings each lover to the place he belongs and to the lover he belongs with.

Aaron and Bradley are two lost souls who have been rejected by their parents. Although they have entered into a loving relationship, Aaron is obsessed with his first love, Carl. Aaron loves Carl and Carl only loves himself. Bradley tries hard, but he can't get Aaron to love him back. In spite of the fact that Carl has deceived him on many occasions, Aaron desires only Carl, who uses Aaron's love for his own personal gain.Along the way, Bradley and Aaron develop strong friendships which eventually meld into a bonded family unit. No matter what befalls them, the family is always there to support each other. It takes Aaron years, and a long tough journey, to finally get Carl out of his system.

The story explores Jonathan Walters' struggle with his identity as a gay man while trying to conform to societal expectations in a straight world, causing turmoil in his marriage. His life takes a transformative turn after a mugging leads him to Detective Mac, who introduces him to the power of love and acceptance. This pivotal relationship helps Jonathan confront his true self, suggesting themes of self-discovery and the impact of love in overcoming personal challenges.

Exploring various forms of love, the novel delves into sensual love between romantic partners, highlighting its physical expressions. These stories were written by a hopeless romantic. I believe everyone should be in love; young, old, and in between; men and women. Consequently, every story has a Hollywood ending and all my live happily ever after. Almost every love story in the book was influenced by a true incident I had heard about. Of course, I took poetic license. I had to imagine the consequences of some of what I heard, and where the incident was true I tried to make sure that the characters could not be identified. I fell in love with all these lovers, and I hope you will enjoy reading their stories as much as I enjoyed writing them.
