Shaykh Abdalqadir As-Sufi

    The Book of Tawhid
    • Due to the ongoing interregnum that has interrupted Islamic governance since the Mughal and Osmanli eras, the Muslim World Community currently experiences Islam without its essential political dimension. This has led to an unfortunate situation where Imams have been elevated to a priesthood-like status, ruling over a populace that feels powerless in matters of war and wealth, relegating themselves to being commanded in personal affairs such as births, marriages, and deaths. Consequently, by treating the Imam as an Authority rather than a replaceable figure whose primary role is to lead the salat, the community has lost the vital connection with the Qur'an necessary for a thriving Islamic society. Historical accounts illustrate that the Sahaba would gather after Fajr to recite the Qur'an and reflect on its guidance for their daily lives. In this spirit, we initiated a series of gatherings aimed at rekindling the dynamic relationship between the Jama'at and the Book of Allah. By reviving this Madinan practice, we sought to extract clear teachings from the Qur'an about Allah, glory be to Him, particularly focusing on the knowledge of Tawhid.
