Focusing on the growing prevalence of gouty arthritis, this book explores innovative solutions to improve treatment options. It highlights the limitations of Allopurinol, particularly its poor bioavailability and severe side effects. The author investigates the potential of cocrystals, which can expedite the drug development process due to the FDA approval of the constituent compounds. This research, conducted over seven months at the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, presents the synthesis and preliminary characterization of Allopurinol cocrystals, aiming to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

This work explores the isolation and characterization of tetranortriterpenoids from the meliaceae family using techniques like NMR and X-ray Diffraction. It reports on chemical modifications, assesses their antifeedant activity against spodoptera litura, and conducts insilico studies to identify molecular descriptors linked to this activity.
