Asa Gray Bücher

Asa Gray war eine Schlüsselfigur des 19. Jahrhunderts in der amerikanischen Botanik, dessen Werk die komplexe Beziehung zwischen Wissenschaft und Glauben erforschte und eine von einem Schöpfer geleitete Evolution vorschlug. Er setzte sich für das Konzept der genetischen Kontinuität innerhalb von Arten ein und lehnte Vorstellungen von unmittelbarer Hybridisierung und statischer Sondererschaffung ab.
