Paul Wonder and his supernatural dog, Magic, embark on an exhilarating adventure in Italy, where his father is filming a tourism documentary. Accompanied by his father Noah, Aunt Ruthie, and his two best friends, Jacob and Micah, the group explores iconic sites in Rome, indulging in gelato and marveling at the Coliseum. At fifteen and fourteen, Jacob and Micah are thrilled to join the trip, meeting other teens whose parents are part of the film crew. Their journey takes them to Venice, where they stay in a stunning hotel on the Grand Canal. However, their excitement is soon overshadowed by the presence of thieves who have just stolen a cursed artifact from an Egyptian tomb. As fate would have it, the teenagers and Magic cross paths with these criminals, leading to an incredible quest that intertwines the supernatural powers of the artifact with Magic’s abilities. Faced with danger, the group must confront evil and navigate through intense challenges. Throughout this thrilling escapade, the bonds of family and friendship are strengthened as they unite in the battle between good and evil, showcasing their courage and resilience against formidable odds.
