Just as the unique squares of a quilt are pieced together to form a whole, so are the people of Mooresville, Indiana who came together to form a unique and close-knit community. Like most small towns, Mooresville has its own traditions and heritagethat have deep roots in its history and in the people who lived there all their lives. Yet, this rich heritage seemed to be unknown by many of the sophomore students who attended Mooreville High School. It wasn't until they read the story "Everyday Use" by ALice Walker that the discussion of heritage and traditions became topics of interest. These students eagerly embraced the idea of discovering their own heritage. They interviewed a myriad of people in town and wrote their stories. Along this biographical journey, the students' pride in their town grew. Even though each story is unique, there are common threads of family, friendship, compassion, honesty and hard work. When sewn together, these threads formed the heritage of Mooresville. Untravelled paths are never easy to traverse, but once you make your way down them, you are glad you took the journey. We hope that you enjoy the stories and appreciate the heritage, the people, and the spirit of Mooresville.

This science fiction anthology is composed of six short stories, as follows: "Herald" This is a story about a relatively unknown inventor who develops delusions of grandeur that turn out be true.
