    John Kent war ein amerikanischer Cartoonist und produktiver Kinderbuchautor und -illustrator. Er ist vielleicht am besten als Schöpfer des Comics "King Aroo" bekannt. Neben seinen eigenen Büchern illustrierte er mehr als zwanzig Bücher anderer Autoren.
