Information and self-organization

This book presents a unified view of critical concepts of self-organizing complex systems. The various meanings of the term „information“ are discussed, and a general formulation of the maximum information (entropy) principle is used. The third edition is expanded with an introduction to the meaning of information in the quantum context, one of the most active fields of research at the interface of physics, technology and information sciences.
