This volume is dedicated to our teacher and friend Hans Triebel, featuring lectures from the International Conference "Function Spaces, Differential Operators and Nonlinear Analysis" (FSDONA-01) held in Teistungen, Germany, from June 28 to July 4, 2001, in celebration of his 65th birthday. This event marked the fifth meeting in a series aimed at fostering collaboration among specialists from Finland, the Czech Republic, and Germany. It was particularly significant as it acknowledged Hans Triebel's profound influence on mathematical analysis.
