From Emil Ipsen Freight Forwarder to logistics provider Ipsen Group

Living history - it was under this motto that the young author took the initiative to reconstruct the past 110 years of a Bremen forwarding firm. Ipsen Forwarding is not only an exellent reflection of the region`s past but also conceives of itselfs today - more justifiably than ever - as a vibrant, future-oriented forwarding company. As a means of assigning proper significance to the various changes and stages of development, the author takes a brief survey of Bremen`s economic history with a closer look at the cooton trade, harbour development and forwarding sector. After all, Ipsen Forwarding and its 110-year evolution are a pice of regional history.
