After graduating in zoology, the author conducted comparative studies on the behavior of Przewalski horses and wild asses from Asia and Somalia. During this time, she began systematically drawing equine behavior. The book defines the behavior of free-living Camargue horses in alphabetical order, specifying the context of each occurrence. Each behavioral element is illustrated with ink drawings, which highlight characteristic details better than photographs. This reference work aims to help readers identify and interpret the natural behavior of horses more easily. The author has been breeding and training her own ponies and horses since her youth.
