Herausgegeben und mit einem Text von Claudia Emmert, Interview von Hans Ulrich Obrist mit Thomas Stimm und einem Künstlertext in 18 Sprachen. Übermannshohe Blumenobjekte kennzeichnen das Werk des Bildhauers Thomas Stimm. Die künstlerische Veränderung der Größenverhältnisse von Mensch und Natur beschäftigt ihn seit vielen Jahren. Sein jüngstes Werk ist eine umfangreiche Reihe von Großplastiken, welche hier erstmals publiziert wird. Der bislang wenig bekannte Werkblock des Künstlers, bestehend aus Sonnen, Erdkugeln, Terraniern, Sprechblasen, Logos, Emblemen und einem Shop für Terranian Lifestyle lässt ein buntes neues Bild unseres Planeten entstehen: „Terra„ als „Heimat im All“ für Terranier aller Kontinente. Floral objects larger than human beings characterize the work of sculptor Thomas Stimm. The artistic transformation of the dimensions of humanity and nature is something that has occupied him for many years. His most recent work is an extensive series of large-scale sculptures, here shown for the first time. This block of work by the artist, until now little known to the public, consisting of suns, earth balls, “Terranians,” speech bubbles, logos, emblems, and a shop for “Terranian” lifestyle allows a new, colorful image of our planet to emerge: “Terra” as a “home in space” for Terranians of all continents.
