The 21st century has seen unprecedented events that have led to irreversible historical changes, such as the attacks on the Twin Towers, subsequent wars in the Middle East, and the international financial collapse. These events have reshaped political communication and its traditional meanings, introducing a new dynamic: crisis. This crisis dynamic has significantly altered international relations, policy-making processes, government performance, citizen demands, electoral campaigns, and geographical tensions. Key occurrences include the Arab Spring protests starting in 2010, the surge of asylum seekers, the color revolutions in Georgia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and Lebanon, the Russia-Ukraine territorial conflict, the rise of anti-globalization movements, and the long-standing Israel-Palestine conflict. Additionally, terrorist attacks in Madrid, London, Boston, and Paris, along with the global threat posed by ISIS, have created a unique political communication landscape.
