Towards a sociology of pedagogy

The 14 essays in this collection were presented as papers at a symposium held in Lisbon, Portugal in June 2000. Bernstein (d. 2000, sociology, U. College, London, UK) is featured both as the source for material covered and also in a short essay and a transcription of a video conference to the symposium.
