Rosalia Chladek

Rosalia Chladek, who was born in Brno in 1905 and died in Vienna in 1995, was an outstanding figure in the long series of Ausdruckstanz dancers. The dance historian Gunhild Oberzaucher-Schüller and the dance pedagogue Ingrid Giel illuminate the stylistic significance of Rosalia Chladek's work against the backdrop of major artistic and political tendencies of her times.
