Helping professions have not successfully addressed the needs of Aboriginal peoples. This is due to their limited attempts to incorporate Aboriginal perspectives and practices of helping. In light of this concern, this book presents one Aboriginal approach to helping, that of the sharing circle. The author outlines how this approach can be used to guide practice with individuals, families, and groups in several contexts.
