The unlikely inheritance of a farm and beach-side tavern on an island in the central Aegean leads two brothers and their younger sister to make the life-changing decision to leave the ashes of their burnt-out kebab restaurant and take possession of the property. Full of enthusiasm, they try to make a go of it. Little do they know that the mayor of the island and an Albanian drugs lord also have designs on the property, each for their own reasons. Naïvely, they blunder through the plots and scheming of the Greeks around them, making friends and taking lovers on the way. However, they are unaware that in their bay lays the wreck of a Phoenician ship, nearly three thousand years old, which will define their future. There is treachery, betrayal, torture and death circling around the family, but somehow it all works out. But with whose help and, more importantly, why?
