STRANGLED IN PARIS

Set in 1894, the story unfolds with a shipwreck rescue in Normandy, leading to a series of murders in Paris linked by a mysterious black unicorn pendant. Newlywed bookseller Victor Legris is drawn into the investigation of Louise Fontane's death, facing baffling questions about her lavish lifestyle and the connections to the Black Unicorn Society, which seeks the philosopher's stone. As he and his brother-in-law Jojo delve deeper, they uncover a dark underbelly of exploitation in belle époque Paris, all while keeping their sleuthing secret from their wives.
