This thesis examines the connection between the recent demographic transition in Thailand, characterized by declining fertility and mortality rates, and the changing work patterns of school-aged children. It includes a literature review and an empirical analysis of panel data from the Nang Rong district, revealing that fertility decline positively influences parental choices regarding child labor.
