A Structuralist-generative Model of Literary Narrative

This study offers a comprehensive model of literary narrative, integrating insights from major twentieth-century theorists. Unlike traditional structuralist approaches, it emphasizes the dynamic interplay between narrative components and discourse aspects that convey thematic ideas. The model is illustrated with a detailed fold-out chart and is applied to various literary works, including short stories and a novel, showcasing its analytical effectiveness. An appendix featuring a student paper further demonstrates the model's educational value in advanced literary studies.
