The Odd Puppet Odyssey

The narrative poems follow two puppet characters, Pongo and Rico, on a whimsical journey that delves into themes of identity, sexuality, and adulthood. Their adventures, reminiscent of classic epics, lead them through surreal encounters, including a meeting with Death and a chase by the Hairy Monster of Manhood. Blending humor and irony, the story serves as a picaresque exploration of self-acceptance. The illustrations, created by Celeste Ericsson, complement the poems and draw inspiration from Renaissance art and satirical traditions.
