The very process of living together educates

Focusing on the evolution of co-operatives in Malta, this work examines how local communities adapted the model originally introduced by British colonial authorities to enhance local development. It delves into the learning experiences of participants in two rural co-operatives, exploring insights gained by management committee members, employees, and volunteers. The study highlights how these co-ops serve as political tools, empowering individuals and communities to envision and establish alternative frameworks for greater control over their lives.
