A Heart to Give

A transformative journey to Louisiana in 2007 led to a week of community rebuilding after Hurricane Rita, alongside 150 fellow students. This humbling experience sparked a realization about the importance of local community involvement. Upon returning to Southeastern Michigan, the author recognized the economic struggles facing Detroit, igniting a desire to address the needs of local communities in crisis.
