Effect of E-mail Exchange on Omani Students' EFL Writing Skills

The study explores how e-mail exchanges impact the English writing skills and attitudes of Omani grade 7 students. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design, it compares the effects of authentic versus imaginary e-mail methods across genders. Findings indicate that higher-level students engaged more in e-mail writing, and both types of exchanges significantly enhanced writing test scores. The research also includes qualitative observations of participants' e-mail content, highlighting the effectiveness of e-mail communication in improving language skills.
