The Whirlwind

Set against the backdrop of the French Revolution, the story follows René, Chevalier de Massac, who defies social norms by marrying Virginie Durand, a commoner. He abandons his noble status and immerses himself in revolutionary fervor, engaging in pivotal events like the capture of the Bastille and the storming of the Tuileries. Alongside him, Virginie displays her own bravery amidst the chaos, as they navigate the dangers of the uprising while striving to protect their family from peasant uprisings.
