Voices Under the Window

Set against the backdrop of 1960s Jamaica, the story explores social and racial inequalities through the life of Mark Lattimer, a middle-class lawyer deeply involved with the working class and nationalist movements. Mortally wounded during a riot, he reflects on his privileged upbringing, experiences in London and the RAF, and his commitment to the poor. As he faces death, Mark grapples with profound questions about life, politics, and the impact of individual actions in a chaotic world.
