Embracing the identity of Athanasius Pernath, a gem cutter and antiquities restorer, he navigates a blend of esoteric and mystical themes influenced by Theosophy, Jewish and Christian mysticism, and Buddhism. Meyrink's exploration delves into metaphysical existence and the supernatural, reflecting his philosophical beliefs.
