Soil classification in the Naban River Watershed National Nature Reserve

The study examines how various land uses, such as forests and rubber plantations, impact soil properties beyond geographical factors like parent material and location. Conducted within the Living Landscapes China (LILAC) project, the research focused on the Naban River Watershed National Nature Reserve, analyzing two transects that varied by altitude, parent material, and land use. Through field investigations and laboratory analyses, key soil characteristics, including physical and chemical parameters, were classified and quantified, providing insights into soil dynamics under changing environmental conditions.
