Black Iris

The story follows Mal Townley, a struggling private investigator, as he takes on the perplexing case of Iris Black, a mysterious novelist who has vanished. Despite his efforts, everyone he interviews has a different perspective on Iris, and no one possesses an actual photograph of her. The only image available is a captivating painting called "Black Iris," which enchants those who see it. As Mal delves deeper into the investigation, he finds himself breaking a cardinal rule of detective work: falling in love with the subject, leading to a quirky and psychological mystery.
