Kid Number One

The narrative follows Alan Hassenfeld's family journey from impoverished immigrants fleeing religious persecution to the founders of Hasbro, the world's largest toy company. Alan's grandfather and great-uncle began their American life selling rags, while his father and brother propelled the company to fame with iconic toys like Mr. Potato Head and G.I. Joe. Despite his family's legacy, Alan aspired to a different life filled with writing and adventure, never envisioning himself in the corporate role that others expected of him.
