She is welcomed by her new family, particularly her cousin Leighann, but soon the family's constant relocations begin to wear thin, as well as any feelings of a stability Terri may have had. Eventually Terri finds herself back with her father, where she discovers a secret that devastates her. Terri's parents are not really her parents, although she was raised as their child, and this is only the first of series of discoveries that Terri makes. When she confronts Howie's wife, Shirley, Terri discovers that her father is also involved in the sale of illegal firearms a business that involves the whole family and that encompasses many forms of deceit and murder. Shocked and appalled at this knowledge, Terri sets out to put an end to the scheme to reveal the illegal activity, in the house Terri's inner thoughts are torn between her will to do whats right and the fear of her family retaliating for her part in the sting. The conclusion finds her unsure what course of action she will take.
