Private Investigator, Deanna Kim, is in some ways like a fish out of water. She is the only daughter of General Kim, who immigrated to America following the coup in 1969. His reputation as a fierce martial artist has carried over to Deanna. Deanna in some ways resembles the actress, Lucy Lu, in appearance. However, Deanna has issues of depression and alcholism, which she continually battles. Neither one is conducive to any investigator, who carries numerous large-caliber firearms, as Deanna does. If she's not careful, this case could be her last. Deanna is hot on the trail of a Hispanic syndicate, which has stolen a potent mind-altering drug, similar to LSD. Eventually, the bad guys mark her for death, using the drug as their weapon of choice. Will Deanna twart their efforts or end up as just another washed-out junkie?
