Panhandle Preston and his son Quent owned a cattle ranch in Wyoming. Since it was on the right of way of the proposed Union Pacific railway, it was a prized piece of property and coveted by many a man. The most cunning by far was Boone Delivan, a crooked speculator who was determined to get hold of the land no matter what it took.
