Recensement de corallinacées de la Mer Méditerranée et considérations phytogéographiques

During a revision of the inventory of the Corallinales, present in the Mediterranean Sea, a census of the taxa was conducted and 86 species are identified (assigned to 21 genera and 7 subfamilies). This inventory was drawn up from: a) an analysis of specific literature published since 1837 (8043 records drew on 473 entries - see Bibliographical Index) from all the biogeographical areas of the Mediterranean Sea; b) direct collection by means of scuba diving; c) specimen exchanges. 33 species considered species dubiae aut rariter inventae and 3 species inquirendae have to be re-examined as well as two genera: Goniolithon and Leptophytum.
