This monograph combines two very active research areas: that of cell signaling with that of the postembryonic development of organisms into their adult phenotype. The first part concentrates on hormone actions, signal transduction and the hormone regulation of transcription, whereas the second part discusses postembryonic development as a function of hormone signaling. Over 10,000 original research articles, reviews, and conference papers were screened for this book.
