Mit diesem Band wird erstmals das Leben Adolf Höninghaus rekonstruiert und sein Werk umfassend vorgestellt. Adolf Höninghaus is a classical representative of the Düsseldorf School of Painting. With this publication, his life has been reconstructed for the first time. During numerous travels throughout Germany and on his grand tour through Italy, he made studies of nature in preparation for landscape paintings. These drawings and oil studies continue to enchant viewers to this day through their unfinished state, painterly atmosphere, and surprising perspectives.
