Nuclear spins of ionized donors in silicon have received considerable attention in the context of quantum computing because of their extraordinary long coherence times. In this thesis, we study the properties of these quantum systems with a particular focus on the heavier elements and the peculiarities that come with a larger nuclear spin, such as the quadrupolar interaction with crystal field in strained silicon and the generation of multi-quantum coherence, using electrically detected electron nuclear double resonance.
