In his philosophical development, Schelling increasingly asserts that the ultimate principles of philosophy are practical: the ego as act in early philosophy and creation as a richly structured action in late philosophy. However, the exact nature of this practicality remains unclear, particularly regarding Schelling's concept of action and its integration into his overall system.
