Hemingways Stil ist schlicht, aber gerade deshalb so eindringlich. Alles ist reduziert aufs Wesentliche: Ausdauer, Stolz, Einsamkeit. Auch wenn ich persönlich mehr von der Geschichte erwartet habe, so ist sie dennoch grossartig. Man kann richtig mitfiebern, obwohl man im Grunde weiss, wie es ausgeht.
