Rosso Fiorentino was one of the most original painters and draftsmen of the entire Renaissance period and a crucial figure among the so-called Mannerists. This book focuses on Rosso's life and works until about 1530, when he abandoned Italy for France and the court of Francis I and finally received the recognition he deserved.
