Stuart Levine, a professor emeritus of English at the University of Kansas, authored several books including "Edgar Poe: Seer and Craftsman." His wife, Susan Levine, served as assistant dean at the same university and coedited "The Collected Writings of Edgar Allan Poe," among other works.
