Set against the backdrop of an interracial lesbian love story, two women, Ira and Sade, create a refuge called the Purple House for those ostracized by their families. Ira, a Korean ostracized after coming out, and Sade, a Filipina fleeing her father’s misogyny, find solace in their shared experiences. As they nurture their sanctuary, romantic feelings emerge, but Ira fears that love could jeopardize their mission. The tension between their differing views on love poses a threat to the stability of the Purple House, challenging their bond and purpose.
