The Case for a Proto-Gospel

Focusing on the literary connections between the gospel of John and the synoptic gospels, this study presents persuasive evidence for an early written source, referred to as the pre-canonical Alpha gospel. This gospel is suggested to encompass nearly all significant events from Jesus' adult life and served as a foundational text for the core narratives found in all four gospels. The analysis delves into the implications of this discovery for understanding the formation of gospel literature.
