Since 2002, the EU has strengthened democracy support in its relations with African countries, facing challenges from non-democratic influences and internal EU issues. This paper argues for the necessity of continued and enhanced support for democracy in Africa, analyzing past developments and proposing ten reforms for a more strategic approach in response to current geopolitical dynamics.
