Shishyashram, a community of Christians dedicated to glorifying God, has the opportunity to reach out to the women in the red-light district of GB Road, New Delhi. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we recognize that Jesus met those whom society overlooked. Following His example, we feel called to this challenging area, which is marred by violence, abuse, and human trafficking. While many have lost hope for those trapped here, we believe that God has not abandoned them. His love reveals the kingdom of God to them, and our faith in Jesus fuels our hope for their deliverance. Jesus sought out the lost, meeting them in their own environments, and His incarnation was fulfilled not just in His birth, but in His service to the marginalized, oppressed, and those ensnared by injustice. He calls believers to follow Him into such places. As stated in John 12:26, "Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honour the one who serves me." Our mission is to embody this calling, bringing light and love to those in the darkest corners of society.
