Focusing on the oxidation of iron and steel at high temperatures, this study examines how various atmospheric conditions and alloying elements affect the phase composition and microstructure of surface layers. It highlights the significance of understanding oxidation processes for both academic research and practical applications. The complex nature of iron oxide layers poses analytical challenges due to their diverse phase compositions and fine particle sizes. This work aims to enhance knowledge of material behavior under similar high-temperature conditions.
