The narrative delves into the creative rivalry between students in the world of animation. Kanamori steps in for Mizusaki at a fashion shoot, only to discover her rival Sowande is also involved. Meanwhile, Mizusaki grapples with the realization of other talented animators, while Asakusa contemplates the challenges of artistic expression and audience reception. The stakes rise as they prepare for the anime tournament, questioning whether their work will resonate with the judges.

A brand new storyline begins—beyond the anime! After the triumphant sale of their anime at Comet-A, the Eizouken crew head to the hills to enjoy their first vacation together over the winter school break. But they just can’t give their creativity a rest, and roaming the mountain resort, Asakusa meets a pack of friendly but mysterious racoon dogs who inspire a plan for her grandest science fiction epic yet—Tanuki Eldorado! Meanwhile, Kanamori is meeting behind the scenes with the one person at Shibahama High who’s as sharp an operator as herself—student council secretary Sowande Sakaki. Is she Eizouken’s rival, their protector, or something else again…?
