Jaspers identifies limit situations—struggle, chance, guilt, and death—highlighting their shared essence of suffering. In contrast, Frankl distills these into a tragic triad of suffering, guilt, and death, emphasizing their inevitability in life. He argues that even in these harsh realities, individuals can discover meaning, reinforcing his belief in the significance of life amidst adversity.

Este trabalho analisa as semelhanças e diferenças entre as Situações Limite de Karl Jaspers e a Tríade Trágica de Victor Frankl. Enquanto Jaspers aborda luta, acaso, culpa e morte, Frankl foca em sofrimento, culpa e morte, enfatizando que o sentido da vida pode ser encontrado mesmo nas dificuldades.
