This study explores how Christian anthropocentrism has contributed to environmental destruction and animal exploitation since the 1960s. It reveals that early church theologians, despite being Creation- and animal-friendly, adopted Greco-Roman anthropocentrism. The analysis proposes alternative Christian Creation theology concepts to recognize the dignity of all creatures.
