Valode & Pistre - architects

The firm of Denis Valode and Jean Pistre, active for 25 years, entered a new phase in 1992 when they, alongside landscape architect Kathryn Gustafson, won the Equerre d’argent prize for the L’Oréal headquarters near Paris. Their large-scale projects are noted for their diversity. Valode & Pistre have expanded their practice beyond France, establishing offices in Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Russia, Mexico, China, and more. This book presents 18 of their projects, emphasizing their unique working and design methods. Featured projects include the Renault Technocentre in Guyancourt, France; the Las Mercedes business park in Madrid, Spain; a group of office and hotel towers in Beijing, China; and the Hyatt Hotel in Ekaterinburg, Russia.
